Born in 1987 in Munich, Germany, Max began his musical education at the age of 4 on the classical piano. Whilst listening to his father’s huge CD collection he also became very attracted to drum sets. So Max started to teach himself by playing along to everything he could find from Steely Dan to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, mostly on sofa pillows.
He attended the Pestalozzi High School in Munich which is specialized in music and arts and had the chance to dig deeper into music theory, join school bands, sing in the choir and play his first stages like the Munich Philharmonie.
After graduating in 2006 with classical piano as his main subject, 19 year old Max moved to Hamburg to study drums with Benny Greb, Jost Nickel and many more at the Hamburg School of Music. Since then he has become a part of the vivid Hamburg music scene. Being equally skilled on the drum set and the piano makes Max a very musical player for every situation. He is constantly writing, recording and touring with numerous bands from songwriter indie pop to hip hop to improvised music, composes and produces music for film and tv and released his own songs under the name MVX (check the menu).
